DBKE ORIGINALS
Every piece in a DBKE Originals chapter or group store is made to order for your organization, so all store sales are final and we can't accept returns or exchanges for size. If something arrives damaged, misprinted or wrong, send us photos within 7 days of delivery and we'll reprint or refund those pieces.
Your store is a private link on daybreakeclothing.com, our online shop. This policy covers every order placed through a DBKE Originals store link and every chapter bulk order. Your order confirmation email comes from daybreakeclothing.com.
The short version
• Made to order. Nothing in a custom store exists until your store closes. We print exactly what was ordered and paid for.
• Final sale. Custom store orders can't be returned, exchanged or refunded for size, fit or change of mind. Check the size chart before you order.
• Changes are free until the store closes. After that, production starts and every order is locked.
• Production takes 10–14 business days after your store closes. Your arrival window is listed on your store.
• Store orders ship free, together, sorted and labeled by name, to one address your organizer gives us.
• Our mistake, our fix. Damaged, misprinted, missing or wrong item? Email photos within 7 days of delivery and we'll reprint or refund it.
Made to order means final sale
Custom store items are final sale: no returns, no exchanges and no refunds for size, fit, color preference or change of mind. Here's why.
Your store is a pre-order. While it's open, every member picks her size and pays at checkout. When it closes, we order blank garments in exactly those sizes and print your organization's licensed design on each one. Nothing is pulled from a shelf, so there is no extra stock to swap a size from, and a piece printed with your letters can't be resold to anyone else.
That's also why your price is low and your chapter never pays for leftovers. We make exactly what's ordered and paid for by the close date, with no extras sitting in a box.
Getting your size right
• Check the size chart on every product. Sizes vary by brand and style, so compare the chart to a piece you already own and love.
• Unisex vs. women's fit. Most tees, crewnecks and hoodies are unisex, which runs larger than women's sizing. The product page says which fit it is.
• Want it oversized? Size up. Most sisters order one size up for a baggy look.
• Garment-dyed and 100% cotton pieces can shrink slightly. Wash cold and hang dry to keep the fit.
• Ask before the store opens. Your chair can request a size sample, and we're happy to answer fit questions by text or email while the store is open.
• Every size is the same price. No upcharge for 2XL and up.
If we ship you a different size than you ordered, that's our error and we'll fix it. See "If something's wrong" below.
Production and shipping
Most store orders arrive about 3–4 weeks after the store closes. The exact arrival window is listed on your store and at checkout.
1 Store open. Members order and pay. Sizes and quantities can still change.
2 Store closes at 11:59 PM ET on the close date. Every order locks.
3 Production: 10–14 business days. We order blanks, print, inspect each piece, then sort and label everything by name.
4 Shipping: usually 2–5 business days in transit. Your organizer gets a tracking number when the box leaves us.
5 Delivery and hand-out. Your organizer distributes the orders.
How store orders ship
• Free bulk shipping. Every order in a store ships together, at no cost to members, to one address your chair or organizer gives us, like a chapter house or her apartment.
• Sorted for you. Each member's order is bagged and labeled with her name, so hand-out takes minutes.
• No shipping to individual homes. Checkout may ask for your address, but your order still ships with the rest of your chapter's.
• Where to pick up. Your chair will tell you when and where. Watch your chapter group chat.
• One shipment, sometimes several boxes. Large stores arrive in multiple boxes, occasionally on different days. Wait until every box on the tracking has arrived before reporting anything missing.
What can move your date
• Licensing. Every design is approved by your national organization through Affinity Consultants before we print. A requested change can add a few days.
• Late approvals or a store that stays open longer push production back by the same number of days.
• Blank garment stock. If a color or size runs out at our supplier, we'll contact your chair right away with the closest match.
• Carriers. Once a box ships, transit time is up to the carrier. We'll help track down anything that stalls.
Arrival windows are estimates, not guarantees. Have a hard date, like Work Week, Bid Day or a formal? Tell us before your store opens and we'll plan production backward from it. Book at least 6 weeks ahead. Rush production is sometimes possible and is quoted per order.
If something's wrong
If we made a mistake, we fix it at no cost to you: we reprint the piece, or refund it if a reprint can't reach you in time. Report it within 7 days of delivery.
What we fix
• Misprints: a design, spelling or color that doesn't match the proof your organization approved, or a print that's smudged, cracked, peeling or clearly crooked.
• Defective garments: holes, stains, broken zippers or seams that came apart before you wore it.
• Wrong item: a different size, color or style than your order confirmation shows.
• Missing items: something on your order confirmation that wasn't in your labeled bag.
• Damage in shipping: pieces damaged when the box arrived.
How to report it
Email mailto:[email protected] or text your DBKE contact within 7 days of delivery with:
1 Your name, your organization and the store name (or your order number).
2 Clear photos of the problem and of the garment's size tag.
3 For a missing item, a photo of your labeled bag.
Keep the piece unworn and unwashed until we reply. We answer within 48 hours. If we ask for the piece back, we'll send a prepaid return label. Chairs can report problems for their whole chapter in one message.
How we make it right
• Reprint or replace the affected pieces. Reprints jump the production line and ship free.
• Refund those pieces to your original payment method if a reprint can't arrive in time or the item is no longer available. Banks usually post refunds in 5–10 business days.
• If the problem affects a whole store, like a misprint on every piece, we work it out directly with your chair.
What we can't return, exchange or refund
These aren't defects, so they're covered by the final-sale rule:
• The size you ordered doesn't fit, or you'd rather have a different size, color or style.
• You changed your mind, left the organization, or missed hand-out day.
• Small color differences. Screens show color differently, and blank garments vary slightly between dye lots. Garment-dyed pieces are meant to look a little different from one another.
• Small placement differences. Each piece is printed individually, so a design can sit up to about 1 inch higher, lower or to one side of the mockup.
• Anything in the approved proof, including spelling, names, dates and colors your organization signed off on.
• Wear and washing. Fading, shrinking or cracking from washing hot, tumble drying on high, bleaching or ironing the print, or from normal wear over time.
• Pieces that were worn, washed or altered before you reported a problem.
• Problems reported more than 7 days after delivery.
• Wrong or incomplete addresses. If the address we were given is wrong, reshipping is at the organization's or buyer's cost. Double-check before your store closes.
• Packages marked delivered that later go missing from a porch, mailroom or chapter house. We'll help you file a claim with the carrier.
Care, so your merch lasts
Wash inside out in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry, and never iron directly on the print. Puff, embroidery and specialty prints last longest when hung to dry.
Changes and cancellations
You can change or cancel a store order for free until the store closes. After it closes, production starts and the order is final.
• While the store is open: email us with your order number (it's in your daybreakeclothing.com confirmation email) and the change, like a new size or a cancellation. We'll update it or refund you in full to your original payment method.
• After the store closes: orders can't be changed, cancelled or refunded, because your pieces are already being made.
• If a store doesn't reach an item's minimum: a few specialty items need a minimum quantity, and we always say so before a store opens. If it isn't met, your chair can cover the difference or switch to a style with no minimum. If neither works, we refund every order for that item in full.
• If we can't fulfill an item for any reason on our side, like a licensing decision or a blank that's discontinued, we'll offer the closest match, and you can choose a full refund instead.
• Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can almost always fix a problem faster, and a dispute filed for a custom item that was delivered as ordered will be contested with your order record.
Bulk invoice orders
Chapters that pay one invoice instead of using a store follow the same made-to-order rules. The order locks when you send us final sizes.
• Approval. Your chair approves the design by replying APPROVED to your DBKE contact. Until then, you owe nothing and can walk away.
• Final sizes and quantities lock when you send them. Production starts that day, and the order is final from there.
• Changes and cancellations are free until production starts. After that, the chapter pays for what has already been made.
• Payment is due before your order ships, by check, Zelle or card. The invoice number goes in the memo.
• Delivery. Everything ships free, sorted and labeled by name, to one address.
• Size swaps. If a member's size doesn't fit, the chapter can trade pieces internally. We can't take sizes back. Need extras? We'll quote a small add-on run.
• Problems follow the same 7-day photo rule above. The chair reports for the whole chapter.
Lost packages and contact
Every shipment has tracking. If tracking stops moving for 5 business days, or says delivered but nothing arrived, contact us and we'll open a claim with the carrier and keep you updated until it's resolved.
Once a carrier marks a package delivered to the address we were given, it's the receiver's responsibility. For big orders, ship to an address where someone can receive the boxes.
